Steve, I remember you and Shoal Creek so fondly. You were the first administrator I respected, and I modeled my professional relationships with teachers after you. You have affected so many educators and students in a positive and loving way through the SCE team.

You will be in my and my family’s prayers, as well as the many prayer lists I can add you to. Leigh, the girls and their families will be in our prayers, as well as your physicians. May God bless you and heal you.

Steve, I remember my time at Shoal Creek with such fond memories. It was the first time that I felt like I had a school family. Like Terran McCloud Newman, I modeled my own leadership style after you and other great leaders I was privileged to work with over the years. I remembered how you used humor so effectively when dealing with “school life” and how you built positive relationships with your staff. I will always be grateful for our time together.
