Candee Elrod Butler
Dear Steve,
HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY to one of my favorite people.
You have had and will continue to have many achievements in your lifetime but turning 70 is so far the greatest!
It’s hard for me to remember 67 years of funny and not so funny memories. Some of them are probably your memories but I just think they are mine. We seemed to always have animals and that was because you loved animals. Remember Jelly Bean, and some kind of creature that resembled an alligator. Guinea Pigs. (We had a few of those and that’s probably why that tree by the creek always stayed so healthy) , a few cats and dogs. Not sure if we had a bird.
You have Dad’s creative talent and heart, but that’s not saying Mom wasn’t creative too. She knew how to throw a party and had a heart of gold like you.
Dreams can come true and I do believe yours has. You have an amazing family who also love to celebrate special occasions such as this.
Our memories from the beach were great even the time we thought Jeff was not going to make it back with our children during the storm. We taught our kids to remain level headed.
I have watched you over the MANY years to do things with a purpose like marry the perfect woman and raise not only your children but hundreds and hundreds of children who needed you. Your influence has no limit.
You are a young 70 so you still have dreams ahead of you….DO THEM.
Thank you for for spending some of your week day mornings talking and having coffee with me. I learn from you all the time. I love you and I hope you have a great birthday.
Your most favorite sister in the world!
